The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is the inter-networking of the assemblage of medical devices, healthcare infrastructure, applications of connected healthcare IT systems, and other items. Connected medical devices and healthcare infrastructure are equipped with wireless technologies that allow the machine-to-machine communication that is the foundation of IoMT. IoMT devices link to cloud-based healthcare IT platforms where captured data can be stored and analyzed. IoMT is also known as healthcare or medical IoT.
