Enterprise Product Marketing Manager and Technical Documentation Manager
A publicly-listed global provider of wireless, wired, and cloud-managed networking and surveillance solutions for home, SOHO, enterprise, and service providers. Created, led execution, and demonstrated thought leadership, of ambitious, critical strategic plans for a marketing-orientated reorganization of the technical documentation team and integrated development of Enterprise Product Marketing capabilities in the Global Marketing Division (previously only consumer product marketing-focused). Assisted with the launch of HWTrek – a Seed and Series A-funded startup providing a full lifecycle Platform-as-a-Service for IoT and electronics hardware development, manufacturing, and market entry, and a project management tool to manage product development. Managed digital (and offline) engagement, community, social media, marketing communications, public relations, and business development. Liaised with technology journalists and bloggers, and the community of IoT entrepreneurs and experts on the HWTrek platform. Wrote and edited press releases, blog posts, web content, and presentations. Managed and chief-editor of the HWTrek IoT blog (WordPress). Assisted with the launch of Business Next’s (Taiwan’s leading business magazine covering the technology and internet industries) first English-language website Meet Startup, advocating Taiwan’s start-ups and ecosystem funded by Taiwan’s National Development Council. Edited articles written by staff and contributing writers. Managed and executed social media strategy, and executed social media ad campaigns and budget.
LILEE Systems (6/2011-4/2015)
Technical and Marketing Writer, Social Media Manager
Wrote, edited, produced, and designed product, solution, corporate marketing, PR, and technical product documentation for LILEE, a Silicon Valley-based provider of real-time connectivity for onboard devices in trains, buses, other mobile assets, and for smart cities. Created original technical documentation, marketing collateral, and templates from scratch for all the company’s hardware and software products, solutions, and services. Created effective technical documentation and marketing collateral that supported:
- Successful award of multi-million dollar subcontract for the wireless and wired communications subsystem as part of the NYMTA Metro-North Commuter Railroad (MNCR) and Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) Positive Train Control project led by Bombardier and Siemens.
- FCC certification of the first 220 MHz Software-Defined Radio.
- Development and approval of the IEEE 802.15.4p Rail Communications and Control Standard.
Managed the website (WordPress) and social media marketing (Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn). Successfully organized LILEE corporate board member’s (Norman Y.
